Llanfaelog
I have been predominantly inspired to portray the coal mining industry, and industrial landscapes in which I worked for a number of years. I now enjoy producing landscapes and seascapes, working in oils on canvas or pen and ink.

I’m a potter who makes colourful pots and plates to use at the dinner table. I enjoy the unpredictability of the firing process, where the lack of complete control in the transformation of the clay and the glazes brings a liveliness to the piece.
Open all year around by prior appointment.

Dulas

Rhosybol
Landscape photographer whose work was recently featured on the BBC. Since starting my business in 2018 I have been overwhelmed with the public response, shipping my photographs all over the world. My passion is to share how I see the beauty that surrounds us.
Open throughout the year

First time in Open Studios and really excited to be part of it. Taking inspiration from the Anglesey Landscape, Wildlife and People around me I enjoy working with all types of media, currently favouring watercolour, pastel and ink.

Suzy Walsh is a textile artist who runs regular workshops and classes across Anglesey. Her felt work is most recognisable by her delicate ‘Mermaids Scarves’ which are created using merino fleece and silks.

For over 40 years my work has been inspired by the sea and mountains, but it all starts with the sky! Nature creates, I just strive to capture.

I paint my chosen subject aggressively, and honestly. I try to dismiss learnt techniques to overcome problems in painting so that it will have a raw and uncompromising quality. My work can be taken to be a form of communication, expression or dealing with something. It is effectively the end result of trying to find a narrative in the paint.

The building blocks of painting matched with the outstanding beauty of the natural world inform these intensely rich and vibrant compositions. The excitement is palpable and contagious. Enjoy.
Open throughout the rest of the year by prior appointment.

I live on Earth at present, and I don’t know what I am. I know that I am not a category. I’m not a noun. I’m an evolutionary process — an integral function of the universe. Art is the visualisation of that intelligence, and here is my inspiration for that notion.
