2-6 Market Street
I am constantly inspired by the natural environment finding the beauty in the simplest of forms to the most dramatic of landscapes. I love experimenting with various mediums to express texture, colour, mood and atmosphere be it in paintings, photography or craft pieces to interpret my surrounding environment.

My work has progressed in a circular fashion, I have rediscovered my painting roots and I am delivering fiqurative narrative paintings again. Of course this new work is informed by all my previous creative experience and I am enjoying producing work in this way. In these paintings daily life wanders into familiar landscapes and settings.

63 Maeshyfryd Road
Welsh history/landscape influence my art, and inspired my popular farming characters, Gwyn & Gwawr. A firm belief in the power of comedy to lift the spirit, is reflected in many artworks, often incorporating a subtle humour.
Open throughout the year by prior appointment.
I believe in drawing and painting from ‘on the spot’ sketchbook studies without the use of photographic aids. Committing a subject to paper or canvas with some sense of atmosphere, movement, and changing light, in my experience can only be achieved by being present at the scene taking time to absorb and enjoy the subject.

Penmon
Here painting, print, and sculptural construction explores ideas of memory, place and identity. The relation of imagery to abstraction is tested. Sometimes a work is inspired by text or poetry, and selected words may be embedded within its fabric, forming a ‘trace’ or ‘residue’; working process becomes a metaphor for memory.

Llandyfrydog
Through my work I have sought to show that exactitude is not truth. There is hidden energy within all objects, people and places that a photograph cannot capture. I have explored this concept in my exhibitions, most prominently at the Royal Cambrian Academy where I have recently become the youngest ever member to represent Wales and to work under the patronage of Prince Charles.
