I studied Fine Art in both Australia and the UK, and love to draw/paint any subject in any medium. Have drawn inspiration from the varied landscapes of both countries, also seascapes around the beautiful Isle of Anglesey. I have a small garden studio and enjoy giving tuition to both individuals and small groups.

During lock-down I continued working in the Welsh landscape. Much of the new work produced over the period is now showing in the Gallery as beautiful, archival, signed fine-art prints & greetings cards. My coffee table books are still available.

An eclectic mix of watercolours and glasswork.

Tim Dickinson an artist from Anglesey who produces high emotive and thoughtful images that explore the darker side of human emotion and the human condition. On occasion he also uses his dark style to produce quirky cute critters.

I paint, draw and print in order to explore ideas and concepts involved with how we portray and perceive the world around us through the medium of art.

Landscapes, Seascapes and semi – abstracts of the beautiful Isle of Anglesey are painted in rich luscious oil paint using palette knives and brushes on canvas. These together with my little flower paintings can be found in galleries in Wales and England.

The underlying theme of my work is rhythms of the natural world. I use collage, inks and drawing to express the essence of things present and the layers of the past. The abstracted aspects of the landscape I then redefine into glyphs and totems of place.

For many years I have been exploring faces carved on C18th slate headstones – I have a collection of over 100 photos. Time obscures them with lichen and soil, they crumble and split, but enough remain to stare back through the centuries and fascinate me – my work uses layers, pasted on or pulled off; my canvasses record history embedded in the earth, as if covering or uncovering the past.

I am a marine artist – i.e. most of my work has a marine theme or subject matter from historical reconstruction, sail, steam etc but I also lean towards coastal landscapes and indeed some landscape in general. I work in oil, watercolour, ink, and some pastel. My work has exhibited at the Royal Society of Marine Artists, London. Also exhibitions in Liverpool and of course Anglesey.

My photo art and wood art are a form of release and therapy.

The Japanese method of Gyotaku printing is traditionally used to print fish. It translates to ‘fish rubbing’. I make Gyotaku prints using local marine and botanical species where possible. Each print is hand pressed and unique.

In addtion to days open during the Weeks I am open throughout the year by prior appointment.

Exhibition of paintings and sketch books showing natural shapes and structures created by the textures of walled fields, ancient rock formations with seascapes of dramatic cliffs and dune systems. Constantly changing atmospheres provide a challenge and stimulus.
