Jasmine is an artist whose main focus is on painting animals, particularly horses. Working in a variety of media, she endeavours to capture the beauty, spirit and splendour of the equine subject. She also paints pet portraits livestock and rural/agricultural scenes. Commissioned, original artwork and some limited edition prints available.

My inspiration comes from colour rather than subject. I paint, using mixed media, make beaded jewellery, and work with paint, dichroic glass, mosaic, silk fabric, wax (encaustic), sand, and polystyrene. I enjoy experimenting and at present I am working on designs for a bead loom.

I’m a self taught artist who mixes the representational abstraction of colour, and the textured elements to create a unique piece of work which will become a focal and talking point when displayed. Exhibition venues last year RCA Open Conwy, Gwynedd Museum and Ucheldre Centre. Pop in for a cuppa.

As an artist I work in a graphic style, using a diverse range of materials.

My studio is situated in the garden and it’s where I work and display my art. I primarily paint landscapes of Anglesey and Gwynedd in acrylic, oil and watercolour and I also undertake commissions.

I love to carve stone despite it being a slow and unforgiving medium. I feel that stone carvings should offer both a visual and tactile experience. The inspiration for my work is largely naturalistic and may come from the uncut stone itself or images I see whilst walking around Anglesey.

There is a Portrait Group in Ucheldre on 21/4/22 (10am-1pm). My Pen y Braich Studio, Llandderfel, Bala, LL23 7PY, is open but please ring for an appointment. I continue to grapple with the difficulties of technique to express ideas – all subjects are possibilities.

John’s work is an attempt to explain the world around him. Janet’s work explores inner and outer worlds. They will be exhibiting painted images, prints, printed textiles, photographs, ceramics and customised furniture.

A newcomer to painting, I love exploring the ever- changing scenery of North Wales through the unpredictability of watercolour. We’re spoiled by views that are both dramatic and calming – the huge sea and mountains, and the quirks in the small details.

AOS gives me an opportunity to play with photography rather than follow a brief. This year I’m turning 60. I’ll use photography to express how I feel about this. Projects from previous years will be exhibited also.

I create paintings that are rooted in the character of the landscape and buildings of the area. The paintings are developed from drawings done on the spot in pencil, charcoal, watercolour acrylic and mixed media.
