The Anglesey Arts Forum exists to promote the arts on Anglesey. Membership of the Forum is free and anyone interested or involved in the arts in any way is welcome to join. Anglesey based performers or groups please contact us if you would like to participate in Anglesey Performing Arts Weeks (APAW).

The Members’ Profiles tab above lists all the current members with details of their work. The Anglesey Arts Weeks (AAW) Open Studios tab gives details of the Open Studios and Galleries Weeks (23 March – 7 April 2024). The Anglesey Performing Arts Weeks will next be held from 26 October to  3 November 2024.  We hope you find the information on this site useful and, if you are not from Anglesey, that it encourages you to come over and visit our beautiful Island packed full as it is with creative people!

AGLESEY OPEN STUDIOS 2024

Painters, sculptors, photographers, film-makers, printmakers, installation artists, and craft workers will be delighted to welcome you to their studios during the Anglesey Arts Weeks (AAW): Open Studios and Galleries Weeks 23 March – 7 April 2024. Anglesey is a beautiful Island so make a holiday of it – enjoy the beaches, and land and seascapes as well as visiting the artists, and enjoying the Walks.

Art and landscape walks

This year’s outdoor programme of popular walks and sketching tours is set out below. The walks will combine visits to artists’ studios with en-route insights into the landscape and history, which inspire many of our artists. Instruction is given on sketching walks, which are therefore suitable for both beginners and the experienced

TOUR 1: SATURDAY 23 MARCH 2024: A studio and landscape walk with North Wales Wildlife Trust’s Guide Caroline Bateson in the Rhosneigr area commencing at the Beach Carpark Porth Trecastell.

TOUR 2: SATURDAY 30 MARCH 2024: A studio and landscape walk with Walk Leader Kath Thomas commencing at Penmon Priory carpark, and linking the nearby artists’ studios.

TOUR 3: SATURDAY 6 APRIL 2024:
Cancelled due to weather
An outdoor sketching, and wildlife ramble around the Menai Bridge area with artist Christine Garwood and Guide Caroline Bateson commencing at the Coed Cyrnol carpark opposite the Menai Heritage Museum.

TOUR 4: SUNDAY 7 APRIL 2024:
Cancelled due to weather
A studio and landscape walk with Walk Leader Kath Thomas commencing at the Llangoed Village Centre carpark, and linking artists in the Llangoed area.

Changes to this year’s Open Studio’s guide 2024

There are a few changes to the brochure for this year’s Open Studios

No 12 Aberlleiniog Sculpture Trail, Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 April – this event has been postponed due to the weather.

Both the Art and Landscape walks for this weekend, Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 April, have been cancelled due to the weather.

No 58 Stan Brookfield – will be closed throughout due to extenuating personal circumstances.

Helen Campbell – a new exhibitor based in Aberfraw. Information is to be found in the Open Studios tab on this website.

No 4 Anne Snaith of H’Artworks – will not now be open for the rest of the Open Studios as published.

SeeMôr Film Festival Anglesey 2024

Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 October

With eight categories of locally and internationally made films:

Môn Made, Phone Made, Documentary, Artist, Fiction, Animation, and Music categories.
